Sunday prayer

Confession of Sins and Prayer for Forgiveness

Let us come before the Lord with our prayer and confession.
We confess, before you, holy God, that we have sinned often and in manifold ways by thoughts, words and deeds.
Look on us in mercy, and forgive us, for the sake of Jesus Christ, the sins we have committed.
This is a word to trust and fully take to heart: Jesus Christ has come into the world to save sinners. In the name of Jesus Amen.

                                                            The Song of Praise

Glory to God in the highest and peace to his people on earth .
To God alone in highest heav'n may songs of praise be sungen. For all the grace he merciful he wants to show among us. Great joy and peace He sends to earth So may we ever now rejoice: we know God's grace and power  O Jesus Christ, God's only Son, you saw our need and danger. All heav'nly splendour you laid off to come and be our Saviour. With your own blood, your bitter death, you save us from all sin and death have mercy, O Lord Jesus.
O Holy Spirit, make us saints, contented and courageous. Our hearts, make them your temple where God is praised in everything. Give help, give comfort, we are weak and give us faith in Jesus Christ today and ever. Amen.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.     Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen.

The Blessing

The Lord bless us and watch over us. The Lord make his Face shine upon us, and be gracious to us. The Lord look kindly on us and give us peace; In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
   Amen.
